Crescent Park Car-Top Boat Launch

Created in 2019 this project included landscaping, signage, and accessibility improvements to the Canal Corporation owned property located at the End of Terminal Road in the Town of Halfmoon adjacent to the Mohawk River/Barge Canal. The project was identified as part of the 2007 Waterfront Vision Plan and funding provided by a 2015 Canalway Grants Program. 

Improvements included an extension of the Crescent Park Trail, regrading of existing gravel pavements, installation of new asphalt paved parking, installation of a new floating car-top boat launch, and landscaping. There will be a seasonal floating dock structure anchored in the Mohawk River which provides safe and accessible access to the river for kayaks and canoes.
