Reducing Pet Overpopulation

How to Locate Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Services

Much of the public understands how critical it is to curb pet overpopulation both because not enough homes exist for all of the unwanted/unplanned for animals and also for fostering the general health and well-being of our pets. Millions of healthy pets are euthanized every year for lack of loving homes.  But here are some health benefits for your pets of which you may be unaware:

In females, spaying prevents uterine infections and breast tumors.  They also will not go into heat.

In males, neutering prevents testicular cancer and prostate problems.  Males will have fewer behavioral problems.

Spaying and neutering has also been shown in studies to increase the longevity of your pet.

And lastly, in New York State, dog licenses are less expensive for dogs which have been either spayed or neutered.

How to Locate Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Services
