Trails and Open Space Committee
The Trails and Open Space Committee is a volunteer working group appointed by the Town Board. Its purpose is to allow for continuing citizen input and advisory commentary for future trail and open space plans or projects for the Town of Halfmoon.
A Trails Master Plan was adopted by the Town in 2006 and merged with the Open Space Plan in January of 2014. The vision for trails is to provide a network of linking trails, nature trails, pathways and off road routes for recreation in Halfmoon. The purpose of the Natural Resource and Open Space Conservation Plan is to identify appropriate strategies that will conserve unique natural areas and culturally important open space within the Town that could be lost to future development.
