UPDATE: COVID-19 Information for Saratoga County ~ June 8, 2020

Ballston Spa, NY — The Saratoga County Department of Public Health Services today announced the most current stats* on COVID-19 in Saratoga County.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19: 507

Deaths: 17

Recovered cases: 454

Active cases: 37

Hospitalizations: 4

Total tested: 14,251

*Please note that the deaths, recovered cases and active cases, when added together, do not equal the total number of confirmed cases. That is because one of the previously reported deaths happened out of the state, but was never counted as a confirmed case within the county.

Remain vigilant and make smart choices

By now, we've made changes to our daily lives to protect ourselves and our families from COVID-19. These changes have become frustrating, making us feel the need to get back to normal. In addition, longer days and summer approaching have accelerated that desire. 

It is important to remember that the virus is still affecting our community. It is still recommended that individuals maintain social distance and wear a mask or face covering while in public spaces. Our choices are critical at this point to prevent the spread of the virus. There is a chance that there will be an increase in spread of the virus due to the phased reopening, nice weather and large group settings. 

Please make smart choices to protect yourself and those you love. Everyone has a part in containing the spread.
