Paul Toomey

Paul served in the United States Arm from January 1969 through January 1971.  He received basic training and AIT at Fort Dix, New Jersey then served for 1 year in Vietnam with the 82nd Airborne and the 4th Infantry Divisions.  While serving in Vietnam he was promoted to Sergeant and was awarded a Bronze Star with V device for Valor.  After returning to the states he was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado until his discharge.

He married his wife Bonnie in 1971 and they had two children, Jason and Jaime.  They also have a Granddaughter Tori who is in the Shenenedehowa school system.  He spent 39 years in manufacturing work for Ford Motor Company in Green Island, Standard Products in Schenectady and Spirax Sarco in South Carolina retiring as a Manufacturing Manager in 2010 and relocating back to the Capital District in 2012 and settling in Clifton Park.  He is a member of the VFW Post 1498.  He currently serves as Quartermaster and is a member of the Honor Guard at the Saratoga National Cemetery,
