Sherod (Rod) Smallwood Jr.

1966-1971

Rod  served in the Naval Reserve from 1966 – 1971.  His rank was FN-3

In 1968, he married Virginia Thomas.  They have two children Kimberly, Rodney, daughter-in-law Tara, and a granddaughter Mackenzie.  They are all residents of Halfmoon.

Rod was a member of the American Legion.  He volunteered for many years at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.  He earned 10,000 hours of volunteer time.

He was 100% service connected at his time of passing on July 28, 2014.
