Procak, Andrew

 

Andrew J Procak served during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Boston, his rank was SN.  The USS Boston was a guided missile cruiser (CA-69). His on board duties included working in both the 5” and 8” gun turrets. He received the national defense medal, Vietnam service medal and the Vietnam campaign medal.  Married to Linda (Mitchell) and together they have a daughter Stacey, and two grandchildren Emily and Michaela. He is a graduatuate of Cohoes high school and Hudson Valley Community College. Retired from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance where he worked for 35 years as a Tax Technician. He is a 10 year volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association and received the outstanding volunteer Award in 2011.  He has resided in Halfmoon since 2006.
