Peter Anthony Keyrouze was born on November 13, 1921 and was the son of the late Louis and Victoria Keyrouze.  Peter served in the US Navy during the height of World War II until the wars conclusion in 1945.  After completing his service with the Navy, Peter went on to own and operate the Star Press of Cohoes and Townsman Newspapers in Saratoga from 1953 until the early 1970s.

Peter was very active in every aspect of community service. He was a past president of the Halfmoon-Clifton Park-Round Lake Athletic Association. He was a co-founder of the ENYCM Baseball League and was also a commissioner there. He was a commissioner of the Upper NY Amateur Baseball Association for more than 34 years. He conceived the idea and constructed the Harris Stadium in the Town of Halfmoon. He was a member and past commander of the American Legion Mohawk Post #1450 in Halfmoon.  Peter passed away suddenly at the age of 83 at his residence.
