Edward M Jordan was born February 24, 1948  in Albany, NY to Howard F. and Margaret Jordan, Sr.  He attended St. James School, P.S. 18 and St. Joseph’s School.  He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School in 1966.

Ed enlisted in the Naval Reserves in 1964 while still in High School. This was a tool to gain rank-time in grade for seniority.  He served two tours in Vietnam and was wounded on May 5, 1969.  He was serving with River Assault Squadron 15 in the Mekong Delta during a fire fight with Viet Cong troops.

He worked for Golub Corp (Price Chopper) for 30 years.  24 years as a truck driver and 6 years in the dispatch office.  Ed retired in February, 2004.  He also owned and operated A.B.C Fire extinguisher for 17 1/2 years.  He sold the business in 2006.

Ed has volunteered for Fire Departments, as a Paramedic for the Ambulance Squad, and the Halfmoon Celebrations Committee.  He is a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
