Rich Flanigan

1967—1969

Born to Frank and Lena Flanigan.  Lifelong resident of the Town of Halfmoon.   Grew up at 37 Church Hill Road and is now residing at 39 Church Hill Road.  He was drafted into the Army in 1967 and served until July 1969.

Trained in Fort Knox, Kentucky in Armor.  Assigned to the 3^rd of the 33^rd Armored Division, Frankfort, Germany as a Tank Driver. His rank at discharge was S P 5. 

He was married to JoAnn (Zurlo) Flanigan.  They had two children, Kevin M. Flanigan & Lena Riberty.  On returning home from the military he worked at Proctor & Schwartz, Cohoes, NY as a machinist lathe operator, repairing textile machinery for 23 years.  Retired from Shenendehowa Central School District in 2007 from a Building Supervisors position.

A lifelong Stock Car enthusiast and mechanic.  He also enjoyed motorcycle touring and traveling to 39 states and 4 providences.
