Edward C. Faukner, III, aka Ned, was born in Troy, New York, and grew up in Halfmoon next door to the Will farm, owned by his grandparents.  After graduating from Shenendehowa High School in 1963, and SUNY at Cobleskill in 1965, he was employed at General Electric in Waterford, NY.  He entered the Air Force in 1966 and was stationed in Rome, New York.   After serving short temporary duty during 1968 in Okinawa and Taiwan, he returned to Rome, NY to finished out his four years.  Discharged in 1970 with the rank of Sergeant  he returned to General Electric and worked there until retiring in 2002.

In 1967 he was married to Martha Miller of Colonie, New York, where they resided for thirty one years, raising a daughter and a son.  They were also foster parents to forty one infants in Albany County.

In 2002, after retirement Ned and Martha moved to Ocean Park, Main.  He has been kept busy by working part time and tinkering with old cars.  Ned and Martha are active in their church and enjoy riding his motorcycle and enjoying the coast of Maine.  Their daughter and son and their 11 grandchildren all live in Maine also help to keep them busy.

Hearing the call of the open road in 2009 they purchased a motor home and have taken many trips to see our country.  Trips to the West Coast, Alaska, Florida and many places in between.  They also have spent time wintering in Arizona.
