Champlain Canal Trail Walk &Picnic in the Park

Saturday, September 16, 2023 - 10:30am to 1:00pm
Arrive at Lighthouse park by 10:30am. A shuttle will transport participants to Upper Newtown Trail head to begin walk at 11:00am. Trail walk is approximately 1.97 miles and should take 30-45 minutes to complete. A free lunch will be provided back at Lighthouse park around Noon. Golf-carts will be available for those unable to walk. There will also be a short presentation at McDonald Creek Waste Weir. RIBBON CUTTING for HISTORIC MARKERS CHAMPLAIN CANAL & WASTE WATER WEIR 11:00 at the Trailhead. Funding for the Markers provided by a grant from The William G. Pomeroy Foundation
