Eric Catricala

I was raised in Watervliet, and after graduating from Watervliet High School, I continued my education at Hudson Valley Community College for Mortuary Science, and subsequently became Nationally Board Certified as a Funeral Director.                                                                                                         

In 1984 I came to work in Halfmoon and I was thrilled to become a part of our community. In the times since, I opened a successful funeral home 22 years ago, and made Halfmoon my home. I’ve enjoyed working with the people of Halfmoon on a day to day basis since I arrived.

In the past I have served as a committeeman for several years, sat on the Halfmoon Tax Grievance Board for 11 years, served as Saratoga County Deputy Coroner for 15 months, and I was a member of the Halfmoon Veterans Memorial Committee.

I believe strongly in developing local ties and establishing a presence in the community. I am involved in many local organizations and activities. I am a charter member of the Twin Bridges Rotary Club, an international organization dedicated to improving the lives of those in need  locally and throughout the world
