Ballston Spa, NY — The Saratoga County Department of Public Health Services today announced the most current stats* on COVID-19 in Saratoga County.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19: 539

Deaths: 17

Recovered cases: 499

Active cases: 24

Total tested: 22,872

Considerations when traveling

Many people are beginning to travel again now that COVID-19 restrictions are easing up.

If you have to travel, take these steps to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 during your trip:

Wash your hands often

Avoid close contact with others

Wear a mask or face covering when you're in public places

Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze

If anyone is traveling to New York from Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Utah, the state is mandating a 14-day self-quarantine. The list of affected states is subject to change as the data reviewed. The complete guidance can be found here.

It is extremely important that you monitor yourself for symptoms every day and contact your primary care doctor and local health department if symptoms appear.

If you are planning to travel to another state, we recommend that you review the CDC’s website with important travel information found here. You will also want to check with the state you are visiting to see if they have guidelines or recommendations for travelers.

The Saratoga County Public Health Department has linked Travel information and guidance — both within the US and international travel — on its COVID-19 website.
