Two Town One Book Press Release

Two Town One Book Community Read Book of the year is The Art of Hearing Heartbeats.

It is the story of Tin Win, a man born in Burma now called Myanmar, who became a New York lawyer. And then he disappeared! When his daughter Julia, arrived in Myanmar to find her missing father, she arrived in a country not yet overwhelmed by western culture, Join us to learn more about this country of myrgical landscapes and ancient treasures.

Linda Fox will share her experiences of her October 2014 travels to Myanmar at the Clifton Park - Halfmoon Library on January 11th at 2:00 pm as it's Kick off event for this years Community Read.

This is the 4th Book that has been selected for the Community read. Previous books are

  • The Book Thief

  • How Two Manhattanites became Gentleman Farmers - The Beekman Boys
  • The Art of Hearing Heartbeats

As you can see, this years selection is in very good company! The first two books have become major motion pictures and the Beekman Boys are everywhere, including TV commercials!
