Dispatch Phone

To reserve a seat, call the Van Dispatcher at (518) 664-2186, between 8:30 and 2:00pm at least one (1) day in advance for local and at least one (1) week ahead with medical appointments. Every effort is made to meet the needs of the riders but due to the demand for service, requests are handled on a first come first serve basis.

Please be prepared to give the Dispatcher the Appt. time, Name, Address and Phone number of the doctor you are scheduling with.

On shopping days, please discuss drop-off and pick-up times with your driver remembering final decisions will be at the discretion of the driver in accordance with his/her schedule. Driver may assist riders with light packages. Two stops only are allowed each rider.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience while scheduling and driving everyone to and from their destinations. Please be ready 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time. Be prepared to wait approximately 30 minutes to one hour for your return ride due to unexpected delays with other riders. This may not happen every time, but please be prepared by bringing a book, etc.

The van is wheelchair accessible, however, riders must be able to approach the van without assistance from driver as the driver is not responsible for escorting to and from the van. The driver will assist riders in wheelchairs onto the lift and into the van. Please advise us if you need this service.

If you would like to visit a freind in town and need a ride we can help. Feel free to call us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

In the event of inclement weather, please check with the dispatcher at the Halfmoon Express for notification of van service for that day.

Thank you for your understanding and if you have any suggestions as to how the Town of Halfmoon can serve you better, please feel free to call the Van dispatchers or Kevin Tollisen, Halfmoon Town Supervisor or John Pingelski, Town of Halfmoon Highway Superintendent/Van Director
