Erie Canal Towpath Community Connector project update
The Grant Department is happy to announce the Towns of Halfmoon and Clifton Park have begun the bidding process for the Erie Canal Towpath Community Connector project. This project will consist of re-constructing and re-surfacing the original Erie Canal Towpath, a large part of a recreational trail located parallel to the north bank of the Mohawk River. The Trail will continue under the Northway along Towpath Road in the Town of Halfmoon. The Trail is approximately 4.4 miles and will include construction of a pedestrian/bicycle bridge over Wager Pond.
We will be holding a pre-bid project meeting and partial walkthrough for the Contractors prior to the bid opening being held on May 13th.
