Additional Information

All pets picked up by Animal Control are brought to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter facility at 6010 County Farm Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. The Shelter is open M-F 10-4 – closed holidays and their phone number is 885-4113. 

We recommend you call the Shelter before going to reclaim your pet, as there may be information they need before they can release your pet such as rabies vaccination status and licensing. 

Redemption fees to reclaim your pet are as follows: 

  • Dog first offense: $10.00 
  • Dog second and subsequent offenses: $50.00 
  • Cat fee: Not applicable but must show proof of current rabies inoculation.
